In the Name of Good Style

Hello All,

Although this is a tad late, perhaps this is a good time to explain the title of this blog.

Fashion is universal. It inspires no wars, no enmity, no violence. (Albeit over that last pair of suede double monk-straps at the store). Fashion is powerful. It is recognizable. It is ever changing, ever improving, yet always timeless. In that sense, fashion is more influential than religion. Fashion is a way of life, the way you carry yourself, the way you treat others. Fashion is indescribable, and good fashion is almost unattainable. But when you see someone with that "good fashion", with true style, or sprezzatura, we recognize each other, and we salute. We commend one another for our effort, and recognize each other's love and interest in the finer things of life. We are the ones we appreciate a soft cashmere, or the subtle pattern of a glen plaid suit. We are the gentlemen, the fops, the dandies.  This blog is called Sartorially Religious, not because I am full of zeal, but rather in honor of the people, like me, who are willing to shelve all differences, especially the ones most controversial,  in the name of good style. Together, we can undergo a journey to make the world a happier, better dressed place. Just tell me right before we go. I need to start thinking in advance of which suit to pack.
